Project Manager - Commercial Construction

We're partnered with a well‑respected Knoxville‑based general contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee local commercial construction projects from preconstruction through close‑out. This role offers the chance to lead ground‑up and renovation work across a range of commercial sectors while working closely with owners, design teams, and field staff.

Description

• Manage local ground‑up and renovation commercial construction projects
• Develop and oversee project budgets, schedules, and cost controls
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout all project phases
• Lead procurement, subcontractor selection, and contract administration
• Conduct regular progress meetings and ensure clear communication across all parties
• Oversee project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and quality expectations
• Support and collaborate closely with Superintendents and field teams

Profile

• 5+ years of Project Manager experience within commercial construction
• Strong track record managing ground‑up or renovation projects
• Excellent understanding of project financials, scheduling, and construction documentation
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
• Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.)
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
