Description
The Construction Superintendent - Academic + Healthcare will be responsible for:
- Oversee and manage the successful execution of lab and life science construction projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate and collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure efficient work-flow and timely completion.
- Lead site personnel, providing guidance, mentoring, and supervision to ensure the highest levels of safety, productivity, and performance.
- Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and audits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards, maintaining a strong commitment to quality control and assurance.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, maintaining open lines of communication and addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Manage project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, daily logs, and progress reports, to ensure accurate record-keeping and facilitate smooth project communication.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and value engineering to enhance project outcomes and client satisfaction.
Profile
The Construction Superintendent - Academic + Healthcare will have:
- Proven experience as a Superintendent, ideally with a focus on lab and life science projects.
- Solid understanding of construction principles, methods, and techniques, with expertise in healthcare or life science environments.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing diverse construction teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Valid construction-related certifications and licenses (CSL)
