Manufacturing -- Mechanical Design Engineer - Dudley, MA

My client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop and design new products, procedures, and methods for customer applications. This role includes transferring designs to manufacturing and providing ongoing technical support to ensure quality and efficiency.

Description

• Develop and design new products and improve existing designs and assembly procedures
• Conceptualize products from drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions
• Maintain and track project plans, schedules, and associated costs
• Collaborate with customers and sales teams on product development and manufacturing techniques
• Transfer new product information to manufacturing and train personnel on new techniques
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and sales teams
• Maintain engineering documentation, including design updates, material lists, and tooling
• Support marketing for new product introductions and logistics planning

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing engineering roles
• Experience in project planning, quoting, and cost estimation
• Strong technical knowledge to advance products for changing market needs
• Analytical ability and disciplined problem-solving approach
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation tools
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• US Person status may be required due to nature of work
