Process Engineer - Precision Manufacturing - Somersworth, NH
The Process Engineer will design, develop, and enhance cost-effective manufacturing processes to improve product quality and operational efficiency. This role will lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives, troubleshoot process issues, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Our client is a precision manufacturer specializing in CNC turning and 5-axis milling of complex, high-tolerance components for critical industries such as aerospace, automotive, defense, energy, and oil & gas. They are known for technical excellence and high-volume production of rotating bladed turbomachinery hardware.
Description
This Process Engineer will:
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain process specifications, work instructions, and control plans.
- Analyze and resolve manufacturing issues related to materials, equipment, and processes.
- Recommend changes to tooling, materials, and equipment to improve quality and reduce cost.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Support capital equipment justification and layout planning.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Profile
A successful Process Engineer should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related engineering field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 environments.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
