Property Accountant - Real Estate - Wayne, PA
The Property Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting and reporting for a diverse portfolio of real estate assets.

Description
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties, ensuring alignment with GAAP standards and internal policies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis and insights on property performance.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile property-level general ledgers, including preparing and posting journal entries.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage AP/AR functions, including approving invoices, processing tenant billings, and ensuring timely collection of receivables.
- Cash Management: Monitor cash flow for each property, manage bank reconciliations, and support capital and tenant improvement budgeting.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, asset performance reviews, and transaction due diligence.
- Audit Support: Prepare workpapers and documentation for external audits, liaising with auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of property accounting experience, preferably in real estate or with exposure to private equity real estate investments.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to financial reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across departments.
