Manufacturing Engineer - Aerospace - Dover, NH
The Manufacturing Engineer supports production operations by developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes within a regulated aerospace environment. This role contributes to process improvement, troubleshooting, and industrialization efforts to ensure quality, efficiency, and on‑time delivery across production lines

Description
In this role you will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Supporting day‑to‑day production activities by addressing process issues and ensuring smooth workflow
- Developing and updating manufacturing work instructions, routings, and process documentation
- Assisting in the industrialization of new products and changes, including tooling, fixtures, and process validation activities
- Conducting time studies, process mapping, and workflow analysis to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Troubleshooting manufacturing problems and working with cross‑functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean events, 5S, and standardization efforts
- Supporting non‑conformance investigations and contributing to corrective and preventive action activities
- Collaborating with design engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and adherence to specifications
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within aerospace, automotive, industrial, or similar environments
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Experience supporting production processes, troubleshooting issues, or optimizing manufacturing workflows
- Experience authoring or maintaining work instructions, process documentation, or manufacturing standards
- Lean manufacturing tools, continuous improvement activities, or root‑cause analysis methods knowledge
- Experience with basic CAD tools or production support systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working across engineering, operations, and quality teams
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications
