Description
Reporting directly into the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Design, develop, and implement molding equipment, tooling, and manufacturing processes
- Support the setup, qualification, and ongoing optimization of molding‑based production lines
- Create and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation for equipment and processes
- Analyze manufacturing workflows to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and quality improvements
- Troubleshoot existing molding systems and resolve process or equipment issues
- Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and other stakeholders to drive design and process improvements
- Assist with the procurement, installation, and commissioning of new equipment
- Develop and implement cost‑reduction initiatives and quality control measures
- Ensure manufacturing processes and equipment comply with all safety and regulatory standards
- Participate in cross‑functional meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Support ad‑hoc technical projects as required by the business
Profile
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering
- At least two years of hands‑on experience supporting and designing molding tools and processes
- Practical experience working within a production or assembly manufacturing environment
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
- Exposure to molding techniques such as encapsulation, transfer molding, compression molding, or potting
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to varied stakeholders
- A proactive problem‑solver with a creative, analytical approach
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working on multiple priorities
- Desirable exposure to project management, risk assessment, and design of experiments
