Description
- Lead direct and channel sales efforts across the full portfolio of fiber‑optic, ISP, and OSP connectivity solutions, managing an annual target range of $5M-$10M across assigned accounts.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans, including market analysis, customer‑needs assessment, revenue forecasting, and competitive evaluation.
- Manage and expand relationships within targeted and existing accounts, serving as the primary interface for all pre‑sales and post‑sales engagements.
- Conduct routine customer visits, technical presentations, solution briefings, and training sessions to educate customers on new products and secure new opportunities.
- Understand customer business models, technical requirements, and network architectures to effectively position tailored solutions.
- Perform revenue forecasting, pipeline management, account planning, and other critical sales operations aligned with aggressive growth objectives.
- Structure commercial proposals, negotiate terms, and win new business while consistently meeting or exceeding assigned revenue targets.
- Gather and analyze account‑specific intelligence-including use cases, problem definition, cost‑benefit analysis, and competitive landscape-to support long‑term strategic growth.
- Create, communicate, and execute key account plans, ensuring alignment across Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Operations.
- Provide ongoing market feedback to influence product strategy, solution enhancements, and long‑term technology roadmaps.
- Build strong internal and external relationships, functioning as a trusted advisor to customers and a strong customer advocate within the organization.
- Leverage technical understanding of fiber‑optic solutions to communicate product value clearly across diverse customer roles and functions.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- 5+ years of fiber‑optics or industry‑related sales experience, including hunting, prospecting, and establishing new strategic accounts.
- Strong knowledge of fiber‑optic technologies, connectivity solutions, and telecom/network‑infrastructure applications.
- Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and win new business.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly professional, self‑driven, and comfortable working in an unstructured, fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities while maintaining consistent execution.
- Strong cross‑functional collaborator across Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Operations.
- Effective listener with a customer‑first mentality.
- Ability to interpret technical and non‑technical documents and communicate them clearly.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically 50%-60% of the time.
