Process Engineer - Aerospace Manufacturing
The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing operations. This role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing costs, enhancing sustainability, and maximizing profitability across production processes.

My client is a precision manufacturing company specializing in high-quality tooling, components, and assemblies for the aerospace, defense, and commercial industries. They provide advanced CNC machining, engineering support, and assembly services to meet tight tolerances and complex specifications.
Description
The main responsibilities for the Process Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and standards; consistently follow safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Develop, configure, and optimize manufacturing processes from initial concept through startup and certification.
- Create and maintain shop routers and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Evaluate processes by collecting measurements and analyzing performance data.
- Compile, organize, and interpret data to support process development and improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues occurring during production on the shop floor.
- Identify and implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Prepare and maintain detailed process documentation and work instructions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with 6S standards.
Profile
The successful Process Engineer will have the following qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in related field is preferred, but not required
- Strong understanding of machine capabilities, materials, and mechanical engineering processes.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software; NX preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, with solid knowledge of GD&T.
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards, specifications, and industry practices.
- Knowledge of external manufacturing processes such as plating, surface treatments, and heat treating.
- Understanding of workholding methods and fixturing techniques.
- Working knowledge of inspection and quality control processes.
- Ability to perform well under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain a positive, professional demeanor.
- Capable of working independently and completing tasks with minimal supervision, following established procedures and guidelines.
