Our client is a respected and rapidly growing commercial General Contractor expected to surpass $500M in annual revenue across Ohio by 2026. With a reputation for quality work, dependable project delivery, and long-term client relationships, they specialize in large-scale ground-up commercial developments across a variety of sectors.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support project teams and help deliver high-quality construction projects throughout the region.

Description

  • The Project Engineer will be responsible for:

    • Supporting daily construction operations and field coordination to ensure project schedules and milestones are achieved.

    • Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and subcontractor proposals to assist with bid evaluation and project execution.

    • Assisting with project planning, scheduling, and site logistics coordination.

    • Working with subcontractors to ensure quality standards, safety compliance, and schedule adherence.

    • Maintaining daily reports, project documentation, and weekly construction logs.

    • Coordinating construction activities across project teams, vendors, and site personnel.

    • Communicating professionally with clients, owners, and project stakeholders when required.

    • Ensuring job site safety standards, signage, and compliance requirements are maintained.

    • Assisting with bid reviews, subcontractor coordination, and field inspections.

    • Scheduling and supporting site inspections and quality control processes.

    • Maintaining productive relationships with local municipalities, inspectors, and regulatory agencies.

Profile

The ideal Project Engineer will possess:

  • Demonstrated ability to assist in delivering construction projects on schedule and within budget.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project construction environment.

  • Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.

  • Knowledge of commercial construction practices, building codes, and trade sequencing.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to assist with complex project coordination.

  • Experience collaborating with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project teams.

  • Ability to support project leadership in establishing objectives, procedures, and quality standards.

  • Experience assisting with project scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and cost control.

  • Ability to identify potential issues, monitor jobsite safety, and support corrective actions when needed.
