Superintendent- Ground Up

Seeking a Ground-Up Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee all on-site operations for new commercial projects in Portland, OR. Candidate will be responsible for managing daily construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring quality and safety compliance. This role is essential in delivering successful ground-up projects from site preparation through to final completion.

Description

• On-Site Management: Oversee all aspects of ground-up commercial construction projects, ensuring site operations are carried out efficiently and safely.

• Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project plans, schedules, and specifications.

• Schedule Oversight: Develop, update, and maintain construction schedules and daily work logs. Ensure timely project delivery.

• Quality Control: Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with building codes, plans, and specifications.

• Safety Enforcement: Enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies; conduct regular site safety meetings and inspections.

• Subcontractor Supervision: Direct and coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.

• Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve issues related to scheduling conflicts, materials, or field changes.

• Reporting: Provide regular updates to project management on project status, delays, and cost implications.

Profile

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years as a superintendent on commercial ground-up construction projects.

• Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction means and methods, local building codes, and OSHA safety regulations.

• Leadership: Proven ability to lead crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced construction environment.

• Tech Savvy: Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Certifications (preferred): OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, LEED accreditation a plus.

• Licensure: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
