Quality Manager
The Quality Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance within my client's manufacturing operations. This role encompasses oversight of quality control processes, regulatory adherence, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of aerospace industry regulations and standards, coupled with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Our client has been in business for over 70 years and has four locations down the east coast. They specialize in partnering with OEMs of the Aerospace Industry on Precision components and are a top CNC Manufacturer in New England.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control Oversight:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and internal requirements.
- Conduct thorough inspections of products, components, and processes to identify non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
- Establish and maintain quality metrics to monitor and improve production performance.
Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation:
- Develop and maintain a robust QMS, including document control, training programs, and process audits.
- Monitor and update quality procedures to reflect changing industry requirements and business needs.
Supplier Quality Management:
- Collaborate with procurement teams to establish and maintain strong supplier quality management processes.
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on their ability to meet quality and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Champion Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive process efficiency and waste reduction.
- Analyze quality data and lead cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Training and Development:
- Provide training to employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of quality consciousness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Lead investigations into quality incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Profile
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience including management or supervision experience
- Working knowledge of GD&T concepts and experience with SPC/Six Sigma tools (Greenbelt/Blackbelt preferred)
- Experience in CNC Machining required
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities and a wide degree of creativity
- Experience maintaining AS9100/ISO9001 quality standards
- Working knowledge of inspection methods and/or aerospace manufacturing
