Client Details
My client is a nimble and creative problem solvers who enjoy a challenge, striving for excellence in all that we do. We are a relationship driven, capable and competent Construction Management partner. They specialize in multifamily builds but have a wide range of projects within the commercial market. They value growth-minded, dedicated individuals who practice joyfulness in their duties. Ideal candidate has 3-5 years as of construction experience. The client is expanding into the retail market and is looking for an Assistant PM to run an upcoming project.
Description
The Assistant Project Manager will:
- Document control (RFIs, change orders, claims, etc.)
- Assisting and supporting project team with daily project coordination
- Procurement of construction materials
- coordinate bid process with subcontractors
- Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks
- Estimating and take off/s including conceptual budgets and self-performed work
- Business development/networking capabilities
- Assume significant responsibility for meeting schedule, budget, and quality goals
- Interact with clients with a business development mindset
Profile
The Successful Assistant Project Manager
- B.S. in Construction Engineering or related field.
- 3-4+ years of experience in construction field.
- Previous General Contractor experience
- Proven success in on-site management and oversight
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Ability to run multiple jobs at once.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills
- Self-confident, but self-aware with that, navigate waters through conversation, trying to bully people, collaboratively.
- Open to other commercial markets
