Civil Construction Project Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Construction Project Engineer to support infrastructure, utitilies, heavy highway and site development projects across New Jersey. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Description
The Project Engineer Will Be Responsibile For:
Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination.
Interpret project drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel.
Support construction site activities by providing technical guidance and resolving issues.
Track project progress and prepare daily/weekly reports.
Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including NJDOT and NJDEP standards.
Review and process RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Participate in safety meetings and ensure adherence to site-specific safety plans.
Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
Assist in procurement of materials and equipment.
Utilize project management and CAD software to manage and document project data.
Profile
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in civil construction or related engineering roles.
Knowledge of construction means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and construction project management tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6).
Familiarity with New Jersey state regulations and permitting processes preferred.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites across New Jersey.
OSHA 30 certification. (Preferred)
Experience with public works projects (NJDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority, local municipalities).
