Project Manager/Engineer - Plastics - Watertown, CT
The Project Engineer manage projects from start to finish ensuring that all customer requirements are met. You will work collaboratively with Production, Tooling, and Quality to drive a project to success.

Description
Reporting directly into the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Ensure all customer requirements are met across communication, project management, tool design, manufacturing, quality, and delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
- Collaborate with management to identify and engage new customers and vendors to support company growth.
- Support and enforce the company's Quality Policy, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485:2016 and industry standards.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the organization to enhance operations.
- Manage direct customer communication related to project status, delivery, and qualification requirements.
- Review and improve mold, tool, gauge, fixture, and jig designs to optimize manufacturing quality.
- Oversee timely completion of new mold construction projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Lead project management for new tooling and product development from inception through production.
- Facilitate cross-department communication, assist in equipment and facility improvements, and contribute to cost and feasibility analyses.
Profile
A successful Engineering Manager should have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience
- At least 3 years of experience in project management in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in SolidWorks.
- Experience with injection molding highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
