Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing a wide range of accounting duties, including supporting month end, journal entries, tax and reconciliations. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Description

General Ledger Management:

• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP.

Financial Reporting:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Generate ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management.
• Support external audits by providing documentation and explanations of accounting transactions.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices and payments.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue customer invoices.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Compliance and Controls:

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and incorporate updates into accounting practices.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other departments, including finance, operations, and procurement, to support business objectives.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to help inform decision-making processes.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Controller.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with exposure to month-end close processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software ( NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
