Description

As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in providing detailed and accurate cost estimates for federal government projects.

The Estimator - Large Government Projects - DC Metro will have the following responsibilities:

  • Preparing and managing cost estimates for large-scale government and security projects.
  • Collaborating closely with the Director of Estimating to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with subcontractors, particularly in the DC/Maryland area.
  • Using estimating software tools such as Excel and Bluebeam to generate accurate bids and proposals.
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal guidelines and specifications for each project.
  • Assisting with project scheduling, budgeting, and tracking of costs.
  • Collaborating with the broader team to assess project risks and opportunities.

Profile

The Estimator - Large Government Projects - DC Metro will have the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Estimator, with a strong background in government or large-scale commercial projects.
  • Proven track record working with federal government projects and subcontractor networks in the DC/Maryland area.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Bluebeam software.
  • Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external subcontractors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.

Job Offer

The Estimator - Large Government Projects - DC Metro will receive the following:

  • Base Salary: $120,000 - $170,000 (based on experience)
  • Mileage Reimbursement for travel to project sites
  • Hybrid Work Flexibility: 1 day of remote work per week (with more flexibility depending on Director discretion)
  • Annual Bonus opportunity of up to 20%
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): 3 weeks of PTO
