Regulatory Coordinator

The Regulatory Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with all food safety and labeling regulations, as well as supporting the regulatory team in maintaining documentation, submissions, and regulatory projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food regulations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Description

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and submission of regulatory documents to ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other relevant food regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food regulations, including FSMA, labeling requirements, and other industry-specific standards.
  • Review and approve product labels, packaging, and marketing materials for regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (R&D, Quality, Production) to gather necessary documentation and information for regulatory submissions and audits.
  • Manage and maintain regulatory databases, records, and documentation to ensure timely retrieval for inspections and audits.
  • Assist with the preparation of responses to regulatory inquiries and audits.
  • Support the creation and implementation of regulatory training materials for internal teams.
  • Monitor and report on new and changing food regulations that may impact product development and business operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product launches and regulatory approvals.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with international regulations for export products, including documentation and labeling requirements.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Regulatory Affairs, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or quality assurance within the food industry.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, including FSMA, FDA, USDA, and international standards.
  • Familiarity with food labeling requirements (e.g., allergens, nutritional content, ingredient declarations).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) or similar certification preferred.
  • Experience with international food regulations and export documentation.
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or production environment.
