Director of Preconstruction - Top ENR Firm - Charlotte

Description
- Preconstruction Management - leading overall preconstruction effort across a team of estimators
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop project goals, scopes and feasibility
- Foster a collaborative working environment with project managers, superintendents, and other departments
- Lead internal team meetings to discuss project progress, risk management, and strategies for optimization
- Develop strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, presentations, and interviews for new projects
- Lead the development of comprehensive project schedules, identifying critical path items and potential risks
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and safety requirements during preconstruction planning
Profile
- 15+ years experience within the construction industry in an estimating/preconstruction role
- Experience managing a team of estimators, ideally 3+ direct reports
- 4 year Bachelors degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field of study desired
- Must have an outstanding business acumen and professional demeanor to manage client relationships
- Comfortable working closely with Business Development team in the pursuit of new business relationships
- Expertise in negotiated bid proposals
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts
- Software proficiency with the following preferred but not required: Procore, AutoDesk, Bluebeam, Onscreen Takeoff, REVIT
Job Offer
- Base salary contingent on experience, OTE 250K+
