Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our client's growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing interior renovation projects and a passion for leading teams as they may quickly move into a Project Manager (PM) role. As a PM, you will oversee 3-5 projects simultaneously, while an APM will typically manage 3 projects under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, organizational expertise, and the ability to manage a team effectively.
The Assistant Project Manager - Interior Renovations - Herndon, VA will have the following responsibilities:
- Assist in managing 3 projects, with the opportunity to step into a PM role within a year
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success
- Conduct weekly site visits to monitor progress
- Use software tools (Vista by BluePrint, transitioning to Procore) to track and manage projects
- Coach and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers (PMs)
Profile
The Assistant Project Manager - Interior Renovations - Herndon, VA will have the following qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant construction experience, with a focus on interior renovations
- APMs should be ready to step into a PM role within a year
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve and take charge of projects
- Must be a U.S. citizen, as one of the company's largest clients requires security clearance and a background check
- Experience with Viewpoint and Procore is a plus
Job Offer
The Assistant Project Manager - Interior Renovations - Herndon, VA will receive:
- Competitive salary of $80.000 - $95,000 based on experience
- Annual bonus based on project profit (averages $3,000-$6,000)
- Car allowance: $400-$500
- Generous PTO: 2 weeks (negotiable to 3 weeks), closed from Christmas Day through New Year, and all federal holidays
- Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance with $300/month contribution
- 401(k) plan with a 4% annual company contribution after one year of employment
