Estimator - Industrial / Commercial projects
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team in Chicago. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in industrial and commercial construction, including warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and cold storage projects.

Our client is a leading general contractor with a strong reputation across the Chicagoland area for delivering high-quality industrial and commercial construction projects. With decades of experience, they specialize in building warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and cold storage environments.
Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial/commercial construction projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Collaborate with project teams to develop budgets and value-engineering options
- Participate in bid reviews and presentations
- Maintain historical cost data and update pricing databases
Profile
- 3+ years of experience in estimating industrial/commercial construction projects
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Sage Estimating, ProEst, Bluebeam)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and market pricing
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
