Electrical Project Manager - Hoffman Estates
Client Details
Our client is a well‑established electrical subcontractor specializing in commercial construction throughout the greater Chicagoland area. With decades of experience and a reputation for delivering high‑quality electrical solutions, they support a diverse and growing portfolio of projects, including:
- Commercial buildings (office, retail, medical, educational, mixed‑use)
- Light industrial facilities (warehousing, manufacturing, logistics)
- Solar and renewable energy installations (ground‑mount, rooftop, and integrated systems)
Description
- Plan, execute, and oversee electrical scopes of work for commercial, light industrial, and solar construction projects.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, manpower planning, and cost controls.
- Lead project meetings with GCs, owners, engineers, and internal teams.
- Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
- Ensure full compliance with safety standards, codes, and project specifications.
- Provide leadership and support to field supervisors and electricians.
- Forecast project progress, identify risks, and drive timely resolution.
- Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and installation details.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure high satisfaction and repeat business.
Profile
- 5+ years of electrical construction project management experience.
- Background in commercial electrical construction required; light industrial and/or solar project experience is a strong plus.
- Deep knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, and construction processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team‑coordination skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools and construction documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
