Director of Construction - Multifamily exp Preferred

We are currently seeking a Director of Construction with a keen understanding of project management and strategic planning within the property industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing construction projects from conception to completion, adhering to budgets and schedules, and managing a team.

Description

• Overseeing construction projects from beginning to end
• Developing the project scope, managing the budget, and creating a schedule
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes
• Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors
• Reviewing work progress on a daily basis and adjusting as needed
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals
• Effectively communicating with clients, vendors, and team members
• Preparing internal and external reports pertaining to job status

Profile

A successful Director of Construction should have:

• Proficiency in project management and strategic planning
• An understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
• Good knowledge of MS Office and construction/ project management software
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
