Description

Key Responsibilities for Project Engineer - Medical Construction in San Diego

  • Assist the Project Manager in coordinating and overseeing all phases of OSHPD medical construction projects.

  • Review and manage construction documents, submittals, RFIs, and change orders in compliance with OSHPD regulations.

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and OSHPD inspectors to ensure adherence to project specifications and codes.

  • Monitor project schedules and budgets, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.

  • Conduct field visits to track progress, quality, and safety compliance on-site.

  • Maintain thorough documentation and reporting to support project milestones and OSHPD approvals.

  • Facilitate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders to drive project success.

Profile

A successful candidate for Project Engineer - Medical Construction in San Diego

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • 2+ experience in building and construction

  • Strong understanding of OSHPD regulations, building codes, and healthcare construction standards.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project).

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
