Construction Project Engineer
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for a construction professional who is looking to join a company where they can learn and grow.
Client Details
Our client is a mid-tier General Contractor that has been in business for 50+ years and poised for substantial continued growth and success.
Description
- Schedule: understand and interpret project schedules with the objective of completing projects on time or earlier
- Budget: assist with forecasting, updating, reconciling, and maintaining budget controls on a weekly basis
- Project General: maintain company documentation including tracking logs for submittals, RFIs, PCOs, and weekly meeting minutes
- Requisitions: prepare requisitions in construction software and coordinate timely submission with accounting
- Submittals: ensure accurate, timely processing and tracking to support proper building assembly and material lead times. Manage additional administrative tracking and reporting as required for project and company processes
- Purchasing: support project buyout and procurement coordination with the Project Manager
- Requests for Information: generate, track, and coordinate RFIs to ensure timely responses and documentation
- Potential Change Orders / Change Orders: assist with creation, documentation, and tracking in software, ensuring alignment with schedule and budget updates
- Partner with the project team to create, track, and complete punch lists
- Assist with project scheduling, near-term planning, and quality control
- Safety: comply with all company and OSHA safety requirements

Profile
A successful Project Engineer should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
- Strong math skills, including algebra, construction geometry and trigonometry, and practical construction math
- Drafting familiarity
- High proficiency with computers and learning new software
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, especially Excel
- Clear written communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
