- Monitor, analyze, and reconcile inventory quantity levels and perpetual balances across plants, storage locations, and consignment sites in SAP.
- Troubleshoot SAP operational issues including MIGO errors, incorrect postings, missing goods movements, quantity mismatches, and failed transactions.
- Resolve purchase order discrepancies such as GR errors, blocked invoices, unmatched PO quantities, and interface failures.
- Review and analyze interface activity between SAP and an external WMS, identifying exceptions and ensuring successful transaction flow.
- Support cleanup of zero-cost items, missing materials, incorrect storage locations, and other issues impacting valuation and reporting.
- Investigate discrepancies between SAP and LogPro where quantity or movement differences occur.
- Perform subledger-to-GL inventory reconciliations for North America and international operations.
- Assist with month-end close: transaction review, control checklist updates, SOX documentation, and validation of inventory activity.
- Support operational reporting, integrity reports, and other SAP-related initiatives.
- Collaborate with offshore teams to review daily inventory transactions and escalate issues as needed.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits related to inventory operations.
- Maintain and enhance reports, templates, and Excel tools to improve efficiency.
- Identify and propose opportunities for workflow automation and process improvement.
- Perform ad hoc inventory and operational analyses as required.
Profile
- 2-4 years of experience in inventory operations or inventory accounting
- Strong, hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, especially:
- MIGO
- Goods movements
- Purchase order research
- Inventory transaction troubleshooting
- Ability to track down inventory mismatches, failed transactions, and document flow issues
- Familiarity with WMS integrations and interface troubleshooting (LogPro is a plus)
- Strong understanding of perpetual inventory, inventory control concepts, and reconciliations
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a high volume of detailed research
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
- Clear communication skills, especially in a remote environment
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership
- A problem‑solver who enjoys digging into transactional issues and resolving discrepancies
