The Senior Quality Engineer will lead initiatives utilizing data-driven insights to implement and maintain processes that drive continuous improvement and meet efficiency targets. Collaborating closely with Engineering.

Their components and assemblies are integral to some of the most advanced systems in space launch vehicles, commercial and military aircraft, nuclear submarines, and land-based gas turbines. Description

  • You'll spearhead the creation and rollout of quality documentation-from procedures and work instructions to single-point lessons-empowering the team to excel.

  • You'll decode intricate drawings and specs, turning them into robust product and process implementations.

  • You'll track key quality metrics, uncover trends, and report findings directly to leadership.

  • Partnering with both Quality and Operations Managers, you'll define and roll out game-changing process controls.

  • You'll lead high-impact root cause investigations using PDCA, DMAIC, and other proven methods to deliver lasting solutions.

  • Leading formal problem-solving teams, you'll target critical quality challenges head-on.

  • From fielding customer and supplier complaints to steering Material Review Board decisions, you'll be at the heart of ensuring product excellence.

  • You'll train and mentor Inspectors and Quality Technicians, sharing your expertise in quality systems and regulatory standards.

  • Cross-functional teamwork will be your norm-facilitating PFMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flowcharts, and defining inspection methods with Engineering.

  • You'll master IMSXpress, Discus FAI Bubbling, and ProLink SPC software to drive quality insights.

  • With a sharp focus on risk management and mitigation, you'll champion quality across prototype and production projects.

  • And, for up to 20% of your time, you'll be on the road-supporting customers and suppliers and representing our commitment to quality firsthand.

Profile

  • At least 5 years of quality engineering leadership, maintaining AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 systems in manufacturing settings-with equivalent experience in IATF 16949 or ISO 13485 also valued. AS9100D, built on ISO 9001:2015, includes extra aerospace- and defense-specific quality and risk‑management requirements

  • Desirable expertise in heat treatment and welding, and familiarity with Nadcap accreditation adds a competitive edge.

  • Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, ideally across multiple sites and time zones, with sensitivity toward cultural differences and diverse work styles.

  • Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing needs, and meet stakeholder and business objectives effectively.
