The Senior Electrical Test Engineer will be a key hire in the efforts to develop electrical developments with the industries top motion control systems.

We're seeking a Senior Electrical Test Engineer to take ownership of designing and qualifying advanced motion control systems used in high-precision applications. This role will focus on developing and supporting a proprietary controls platform, with responsibilities spanning design, testing, and deployment for key customers across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Description

The Senior Electrical Test Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to gather requirements, develop specifications, design system architectures, and define interfaces, supporting concept development and cost modeling for proposals
  • Lead the design and execution of projects involving precision motion systems, maintaining thorough traceability across requirements, design, and testing throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare and manage detailed project documentation using tools such as Altium, AutoCAD, MathCAD, or MATLAB, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, component selection, software development, Bills of Materials, and engineering change requests
  • Drive engineering development activities following established project management and best engineering practices
  • Develop analytical models to simulate system behavior and interactions, and promote the use of modeling and simulation techniques to enhance design accuracy
  • Ensure all new system designs comply with relevant design controls and regulatory standards like CE, UL, RoHS, and REACH
  • Build and test rapid prototypes to identify and mitigate technical risks during early development stages
  • Configure and run tests using various controllers and drive products from both internal and external suppliers

Profile

The successful Senior Electrical Test Engineer will have what follows:

  • Strong background in electrical engineering with hands-on experience designing and developing precision motion control systems
  • Proficient in system architecture, requirements gathering, and managing project documentation using tools like Altium, AutoCAD, MathCAD, or MATLAB
  • Experienced in leading projects from concept through testing while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., CE, UL, RoHS, REACH)
  • Skilled in developing analytical and simulation models to predict and optimize system performance
  • Comfortable working with various motion control hardware and software, including controllers and drives from multiple suppliers
  • Excellent problem-solver who can prototype quickly, identify risks early, and iterate to find effective solutions
  • Strong communicator who can work collaboratively with customers and cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining traceability and rigorous engineering practices throughout the development process
