Engineering Manager - Mold/Tooling - Canton, MA
The Engineering Manager leads an internal tooling team while providing expertise in mold design, DFM, and manufacturing support for medical products. The role drives new product development and sustaining engineering by ensuring robust, cost‑effective, and manufacturable tooling solutions in a growing, mission‑driven medical manufacturing environment.

Description
Reporting into the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for the following:
- Manage all aspects of mold tooling operations, including design, maintenance, and optimization.
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians to ensure efficient project execution and adherence to timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative manufacturing solutions.
- Oversee the creation and improvement of tooling processes to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations across all tooling operations.
- Analyze production data to identify and implement process improvements.
- Manage supplier relationships and oversee procurement of tooling materials and equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members to foster professional growth.
Profile
A successful Mold Tooling Engineering Manager should have:
- Degree not required.
- 10+ years of experience in mold design, tooling, or toolmaking.
- A strong background in engineering, particularly in mold tooling and manufacturing processes.
- Experience using SolidWorks and conducting design for manufacturability.
- Experience in developing and implementing tooling designs and improvements.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations within the medical space or other regulated industry.
- Experience with connectors and cable assembly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams.
Job Offer
