Description
- Manage or support civil projects valued up to $4M, including task orders and IDIQ contracts
- Maintain project controls for RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, budgets, and closeout
- Coordinate shop drawings and submittals with subject matter experts and subcontractors
- Support estimating activities, including quantity take‑offs and self‑performed work pricing
- Assist with change management: pricing, proposals, documentation, and execution
- Develop and maintain project schedules using industry‑standard software
- Support layout coordination and constructability reviews using CAD and drawing analysis
- Assist with subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and contract administration
- Proactively identify risks and resolve issues before they impact schedule or cost
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and quality controls
- Support project closeout activities and documentation
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and industry networking
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management with 2-3 years' experience, or 5 years' experience without a degree
- Civil construction estimating and contracting experience with a GC or subcontractor
- Exposure to IDIQ, design/build, lump‑sum, or fast‑track projects preferred
- Experience managing both self‑performed and subcontracted work
- Solid understanding of civil and site work for commercial or institutional renovations
- Proficiency with construction software, spreadsheets, and scheduling tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely navigate active construction sites
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- USACE / NAVFAC CQC certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- EIT or Associate Constructor (AC) certification preferred
