Client Details
We are currently partnered up with a $100M Manufacturing Company in their search to add a Staff Accountant & Financial Analyst to the team. This role will sit on a 5 employee Accounting & Finance team and will report into the Controller at the site. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience within a Manufacturing or related industry, will be career motivated and hungry to grow in their career, a strong understanding of basic accounting principals, exposure to Oracle, and exposure to the analysis side is preferred. Description
The Staff Accountant & Financial Analyst - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
Accounting Responsibilities (50%)
- Prepare and post journal entries; reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Maintain fixed asset records and perform depreciation calculations.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Support external audit processes and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of internal financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts; collaborate with operations on cost variances.
- Support payroll, AP, and AR functions as needed.
Financial Analysis Responsibilities (50%)
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Analyze operational performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, supply chain, sales) to provide financial insights.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, KPIs, and dashboards.
- Conduct profitability analysis by product line, customer, or region.
- Assist in capital expenditure analysis and ROI modeling for proposed investments.
- Support strategic projects, including pricing analysis, margin improvement, and cost optimization.
Profile
The ideal Staff Accountant & Financial Analyst - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA a plus.
- 2+ years of combined experience in accounting and financial analysis, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and cost accounting principles.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Job Offer
The successful Staff Accountant & Financial Analyst - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:
- Base Salary of $70,000-$90,000 depending on experience
- Discretionary Bonus of 5-10%
