Chief Financial Officer
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial operations, strategy, and planning for the US business. The role will partner with executive leadership both domestically and internationally. Based in the Greater Houston Area (Sugar Land)

The company is a well-established, mid-sized organization in the Greater Houston Area.
Description
The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the financial performance of the US business. Key responsibilities include accounting, accounts payable, tax administration and accounts receivable, audit and compliance, budgeting, capital improvement planning, debt management, economic development, financial analysis & reporting, grants management, procurement and treasury & investment management matters. Details include:
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy
- Advise executive leadership on long-term financial planning
- Oversee financial reporting in compliance with GAAP (or IFRS)
- Deliver actionable insights through financial analysis and reporting
- Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
- Monitor performance and recommend adjustments as necessary
- Manage liquidity, banking relationships, and cash flow strategies
- Implement internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Recommend and secure optimal capital structures
- Maintain lender and investor relationships
- Ensure accurate tax planning and reporting in collaboration with advisors
- Lead financial system improvements and process efficiencies
- Mentor and manage finance personnel
- Foster a performance-driven and accountable team culture
- Present financials to the Board and support investor relations

Profile
A successful Chief Financial Officer (CFO) should have:
- A strong background in financial management.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, analysis, and strategy implementation.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Familiarity with financial compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Superior communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with stakeholders.
- CPA/Master's Degree preferred, not essential.
