Quality Engineer - Aerospace Manufacturing - Hooksett, NH
The Quality Engineer, aerospace manufacturing, will support our Quality Department, focusing on auditing, lab activities, inspection (both NDT and dimensional), and resolving process and product issues. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, this role involves collaborating across plant functions, coordinating audit plans per AS9100, customer, and internal standards, and staying connected with QA teams at sites in Mexico and France.

Description
The Quality Engineer, Aerospace Manufacturing will:
- Lead external audit processes, including preparation, facilitation, and timely response to findings.
- Oversee internal audits, managing Corrective Actions and tracking Opportunities for Improvement.
- Develop and maintain a training schedule for internal auditors, ensuring skills are current.
- Update and refine the onboarding process for new quality department employees.
- Track and report Quality Management System (QMS) indicators such as Quality Alerts, Escapes, and Corrective Actions.
- Ensure compliance with archiving and record control procedures.
- Manage Document Control, ensuring all procedures and forms meet compliance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QMS.
- Monitor and report on quality metrics to support departmental goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement solutions.
- Ensure all quality documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Support the quality team in adhering to regulatory and internal quality standards.
- Be onsite four days a week at the Hooksett, NH facility
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant science, engineering, or engineering technology field, or 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer
- Familiarity with AS9100D and ISO17025 standards.
- Proven experience in leading Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCAs).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in manufacturing or quality engineering within a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and standards.
- Skilled in process improvement and problem-solving.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
