Excellent Senior Accountant opportunity at a growing investment management firm based in NYC. This opportunity will include, but will not be limited to, preparing financial statements and journal entries.

My client is a growing investment management firm based in NYC. They are a smaller and collaborative accounting teaam who is looking for top talent to join their team.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare US GAAP and SAP financial statements for multiple life/health carriers.
• Prepare journal entries and perform detailed account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
• Collaborate with external auditors
• Maintain internal control procedures
• Analyze financial data
• Support management with special projects and ad-hoc reports

Profile

• 3+ years of accounting experience specific to the US insurance industry
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or related field
• ERP software experience required
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
