Manufacturing Engineer - CNC Machinery - Winchester, MA
In this role, the Manufacturing Engineer focuses on developing and optimizing complex CNC machining processes, including multi axis programming and automation for high precision parts. The position offers hands-on involvement from programming to process improvement, supporting advanced manufacturing in demanding industries.

Description
In this role, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:
- Program complex multi axis CNC parts using hyperMILL (or similar software)
- Develop and optimize machining processes for high-precision components
- Design custom fixtures for machining and inspection
- Lead first article prove-outs and refine setups for consistency
- Implement automation and lights-out machining strategies
- Use probing and CMM data to ensure part accuracy and make process adjustments
- Collaborate with quality and shop floor teams to troubleshoot and improve processes
- Create clear setup documentation in ProShop ERP
- Drive continuous improvements in tooling, cycle time, and process reliability
Profile
A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have:
- 10-15 years of CNC programming and machining experience (7-10 with a degree)
- Proficient in multi-axis programming, preferably with hyperMILL
- Skilled in complex part machining, fixture design, and process automation
- Experienced with probing, CMM data interpretation, and high-performance materials
- Strong problem solving skills and a collaborative, hands on approach
