Description

  • Lead preconstruction efforts from project pursuit through transition to construction.
  • Maintain and develop client and subcontractor relationships through delivery of preconstruction services.
  • Assemble site logistics plans, project schedules, and general conditions estimates.
  • Solicit and analyze subcontractor bids, ensuring competitive and comprehensive pricing.
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs and develop accurate cost estimates across all building systems.
  • Manage MEPFP coordination and ensure quality control throughout preconstruction phases.
  • Maintain historical cost and schedule databases to inform future estimates and decisions.
  • Coordinate closely with project management teams to ensure smooth project hand-offs.
  • Organize and lead project kick-off meetings, including agendas and minutes.
  • Participate in client-facing preconstruction meetings to guide successful project delivery.
  • Mentor and train preconstruction team members, fostering continuous improvement.

Profile

  • Minimum of five years of experience working for a commercial construction manager or general contractor in a project management and/or estimating role
  • Multi-Family experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture preferred
  • Strong knowledge of construction systems, project management, scheduling, and cost estimating.
  • Proficient in construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, OST, BIM, Pantera, Destini Estimator) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid Wisconsin driver's license; ability to travel to project sites as needed.
