Client Details
The business supports complex operations and places a strong emphasis on governance, compliance and consistent financial standards across regions.
Description
- Provide leadership and oversight of the North America finance function
- Own full P&L and balance sheet responsibility across multiple entities
- Stabilize month‑end close, reconciliations, inventory accounting and fixed assets
- Act as the primary finance contact for external auditors ahead of fiscal year‑end
- Manage cash flow, short‑term forecasting and debt collection priorities
- Establish clear debt collection processes, standard work practices and adherence controls
- Review outsourced payroll outputs to ensure accuracy, compliance and controls
- Apply strong technical accounting judgement aligned to policies and standards
- Operate effectively within a dual reporting structure across regional and global stakeholders
- Lead through ambiguity and change, providing clarity and structure
- Work in a highly manual finance environment, with significant reliance on Excel for reporting and analysis
Profile
- CPA or equivalent accounting qualification strongly preferred
- 5-7+ years' experience at Controller, Senior Manager or equivalent level
- Open to candidates from Big 4 (Audit / Advisory) or adjacent industries
- Proven experience stepping into organizations to clean up, stabilize and create clear forward plans
- Strong technical accounting skills with confidence making judgement‑based decisions
- Comfortable operating in manual, Excel‑heavy environments
- Strong cash management and debt collection experience
- Experience working within dual reporting structures and complex stakeholder environments
- Hands‑on, resilient leader with the ability to influence and push back when required
