Senior Project Manager - Multifamily Construction
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee large‑scale multifamily and mixed‑use developments across the Nashville market. This role is ideal for a highly organized leader who can guide projects from entitlement and design through construction, delivery, and handover.

Our client is a nationally recognized real estate developer with a growing portfolio in Middle Tennessee, including multifamily, mixed‑use, and build‑to‑rent communities. Their Nashville activity includes community‑driven residential projects, suburban multifamily, and trail‑oriented developments designed to fit seamlessly into surrounding neighborhoods. With brands spanning luxury multifamily, suburban garden‑style, and build‑to‑rent townhomes, they are known for thoughtful planning, intentional design, and a commitment to shaping community‑enhancing environments.Description
- Oversee all phases of development and construction for multifamily and mixed‑use projects, from design coordination to project delivery.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, and financial reporting with strong attention to forecasting and cost control.
- Lead coordination between architects, engineers, consultants, general contractors, and internal development stakeholders.
- Drive the RFI/submittal process, change management, procurement, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct jobsite visits to ensure quality, schedule compliance, and adherence to design intent.
- Support entitlement and permitting processes in collaboration with local authorities.
- Facilitate regular updates, status reporting, and alignment between development leadership and field execution teams.
- Ensure projects meet standards for design excellence, community impact, and operational performance.
- Mentor junior project team members and contribute to department best practices.
Profile
- 7+ years of experience managing multifamily, mixed‑use, or large‑scale residential development projects.
- Strong understanding of design development, construction management, contract negotiation, and development financials.
- Proven ability to work with architects, engineers, and contractors on complex, multi‑building projects.
- Experience with podium, garden‑style, or mixed‑use multifamily product types.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative, relationship‑driven style.
- A proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and comfort working within a structured development process.
- Knowledge of Nashville codes, entitlements, and local agencies (preferred).
