Quality Manager - CNC Manufacturer - Belmont, MA
The Quality Manager will oversee our ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified quality system, managing daily quality operations and the inspection department at our CNC Manufacturing Facility. This role involves representing quality in company meetings and serving as a liaison with customers to address quality-related issues at our Belmont, MA site.

Description
The Quality Manager (CNC Machining / Manufacturing) Will:
- Oversee all aspects of the Inspection Department, including part measurement and record-keeping.
- Review and update CMM programs, develop necessary fixtures.
- Manage 2-5 direct reports, including quality engineers and inspectors
- Perform incoming inspections for raw materials and castings.
- Conduct 'First Piece,' AQL, and final inspections on parts.
- Communicate discrepancies to operators and oversee part screening.
- Maintain both manual and digital inspection records.
- Lead Capability Studies and ensure continuous employee skill development.
- Manage quality team HR issues, raise eligibility, and participate in hiring.
- Lead MRB to resolve part issues using the Discrepant Material Report.
- Act as the Quality representative at quarterly management meetings.
- Serve as customer liaison for Quality, including inspection plans and data sharing.
- Oversee and improve quality documentation, calibration, and tool management.
- Promote a quality-centric culture and respectful workplace environment.
Profile
- 10+ years in precision manufacturing / CNC Manufacturing experience with ISO-based quality systems
- 8-10 years of leadership/management experience - ideally a Quality Manager position / title
- CAD experience preferred
- Proven leader with technical expertise, able to motivate teams
- Skilled in part measurement, machining processes, and blueprint interpretation
- Proficient in inspection equipment and quality assurance practices
- Effective communicator and mediator with strong customer service skills
