Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily - Arlington, VA
The Assistant Superintendent supports daily field operations on multifamily construction projects, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules and quality standards. This role is designed for a field professional looking to grow into a Superintendent role while gaining exposure to all phases of multifamily construction.

Description
- Support the Superintendent with daily on‑site management of multifamily projects
- Coordinate subcontractors across framing, MEP, finishes, and exterior scopes
- Assist with short‑term planning, look‑ahead schedules, and daily work plans
- Enforce site safety standards and participate in safety meetings and inspections
- Monitor quality control to ensure work meets drawings, specs, and company standards
- Track progress, assist with punch lists, and help manage unit turnovers
- Coordinate inspections, material deliveries, and site logistics
- Maintain daily reports, site documentation, and photo logs
Profile
- 2-5+ years of experience in commercial or multifamily construction
- Exposure to ground‑up multifamily, mixed‑use, or large residential projects
- Working knowledge of construction sequencing, building systems, and finishes
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schedules
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with trade partners
