Director of Preconstruction - Cary, NC
A senior preconstruction leader who drives client-facing strategy while staying hands-on with contracts and team workflows. This role reports to the head of preconstruction and offers a clear path to higher leadership.

Description
- Oversee planning, estimating, and coordination for multiple pursuits
- Lead client presentations and negotiations with an integrated project mindset
- Manage daily contract development and scope definition
- Guide preconstruction staff while remaining a working manager/doer
- Partner with operations and design teams to align project strategy
Profile
A successful Director of Preconstruction should have:
- 10+ years in preconstruction or project development
- Strong client-facing communication skills
- Experience in design‑build delivery
- Ability to lead while staying involved in execution
- Humble leadership style aligned with team-based values
