Description

This Controls Engineer will:

• Design, develop, and implement PLC-based control systems for automated packaging equipment.
• Program and integrate Rockwell CompactLogix/ControlLogix/RSLogix systems.
• Create and modify HMI interfaces and motion control applications.
• Design electrical control panels and wiring layouts using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers on system integration and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve automation and control system issues.
• Support limited travel for system installation, commissioning, and field service.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives and automation architecture improvements.
• Stay current with emerging trends in industrial controls, automation, and instrumentation.

Profile

A successful Controls Engineer candidate will have:

• B.S. in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent technical degree).
• 7+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
• Proficient in Allen-Bradley PLC programming (CompactLogix, ControlLogix, RSLogix, Ladder Logic).
• Skilled in motion control, HMI development, and servo systems integration.
• Proficient with AutoCAD for electrical panel and system design.
• Demonstrates strong troubleshooting and hands-on problem-solving abilities.
• Experienced with electrical panel layout, wiring, and system commissioning.

• Comfortable working independently as the primary on-site Controls Engineer.
• Strong communicator who collaborates effectively with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams.
• Detail-oriented with solid project management and documentation skills.
