My client is an industry leading Food Manufacturing company

Description

• Develop and maintain clear technical documentation, including work instructions/SOPs/ method books for our production lines.
• Interview cross-functional subject matter experts and translate their descriptions into actionable instructions (i.e., Work Instructions and Job Aids) using the templates prescribed by corporate policy.
• Schedule cross functional team meetings, collect feedback, create draft documents, post on SharePoint, schedule reviews, collect and resolve feedback.
• Identify and lead improvement efforts within current procedures.
• Ability to negotiate and influence solutions without direct authority.
• Work with Manufacturing Subject Matter Experts to ensure document accuracy and detail.
• Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), product licenses, corporate policies, and safety practices.
• Use Adobe and other software to create and edit work instructions and other training documentation (skill checks / observation forms).
• Knowledge of electronic document management systems (EDMS) to complete workflows of documents to final approval by uploading the word documents into EDMS.
• Prepare SOP periodic review timetable and ensure the review/approval or retirement are completed in support of the procedure lifecycle in timely manner.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience required.
• Associate's degree and 4 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience, OR
• High school diploma (?) / GED and 7 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in technical writing, SOP creation, and/or related manufacturing documentation such as method books.
• Food Manufacturing Experience required. (?)
• Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat to develop reports and presentations, and training materials as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Alchemy a plus.
