Quality Manager- Plastics- Concord, NH

$125,000 - $145,000/Year

As the Quality Manager you will be leading the development of the facility's Quality Management System to ensure compliance while managing internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Client Details

The client is a leading precision manufacturing company based in Northfield, New Hampshire, specializing in high-precision machining and injection molding for critical applications. With over 500 employees across multiple U.S. facilities, they serve industries such as medical devices, biopharma, aerospace, and defense, offering services including polymer machining, metal machining, and silicone molding.

Description

  • Develop and implement quality goals, policies, procedures, and systems.

  • Provide guidance on interpreting and applying the Quality Management System (QMS) and relevant standards across the facility.

  • Lead cross-functional quality projects, setting timelines, plans, and strategies.

  • Oversee the internal audit program, assessing and driving improvements from audit findings.

  • Report QMS performance, non-compliance issues, and corrective actions to management.

  • Manage internal auditing, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and complaint resolution processes.

  • Schedule and conduct periodic Management Reviews.

  • Drive continuous quality improvement using tools like SPC, FMEA, and fishbone diagrams.

  • Address and resolve customer non-conformances.

  • Manage and monitor inspection, calibration, and gaging processes.

  • Recommend and implement inspection improvements.

  • Coordinate with customer auditors, ensuring corrective actions and compliance with specifications.

  • Oversee hiring, training, performance management, and career development for direct reports.

Profile

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, quality management, applied science, engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Quality assurance and/or quality control management, or extensive experience in these areas, including supervisory responsibilities, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in Quality Management Systems and conducting Quality System Audits.

Certifications:

  • Professional certifications are desirable, including but not limited to:

    • Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)

    • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

    • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
