Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project documents including blueprints, specifications, and scope of work to determine the requirements of drywall projects.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for drywall materials, labor, equipment, and other associated costs.
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to understand project requirements, timelines, and constraints.
- Select appropriate materials and methods for drywall installation based on specifications and cost-effectiveness.
- Request and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services.
- Attend pre-bid meetings to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project and clarify any ambiguities in the project documents.
- Prepare detailed and professional bid proposals to be submitted to clients, ensuring the most competitive pricing.
- Track and monitor project costs during construction to ensure that estimates remain within budget.
- Assist with change orders by evaluating additional work and updating cost estimates accordingly.
- Maintain knowledge of industry standards for drywall installation, material prices, and labor costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes in all estimates.
- Provide support to the project team during project execution to ensure accurate cost management.
Profile
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in drywall estimating, construction estimating, or a related field.
- Education: High school diploma required; Associate's degree in construction management, estimating, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of drywall materials, techniques, tools, and industry standards.
- Software proficiency: Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Buildertrend, or Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail: High level of accuracy in interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present estimates and proposals clearly.
- Time management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving: Ability to analyze complex information and identify cost-effective solutions.
Job Offer
Compensation:
- Salary: up to $120k
