A leading commercial general contractor in the Pittsburgh region is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to oversee field operations across multiple ground‑up and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have significant mid‑ to high‑rise ground‑up construction experience, bringing strong leadership and technical expertise to complex, large‑scale builds. This role ensures that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality.

Description

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project goals.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely project delivery.
• Lead and mentor on-site teams to achieve optimal performance.
• Identify and resolve construction-related issues promptly.

Profile

A successful General Superintendent should have:

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience with increasing field leadership responsibilities.
• Demonstrated experience managing mid‑ to high‑rise ground‑up construction projects is required.
• Successful track record overseeing complex commercial projects (e.g., healthcare, office, education, industrial, retail, or mixed‑use).
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with construction scheduling software and jobsite technology is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast‑paced environment.
