Remote Based -Payroll Specialist
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to assist managing the full-cycle high volume payroll for our organization - This role is remote based.

Our client is a fast paced proffesional services firm seeking a remote based Payroll Specialist.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full-cycle payroll process, including data entry, payroll calculation, and distribution of paychecks via ADP Work Force Now.
- Process payroll for multiple states, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations and tax requirements.
- Prepare and review payroll reports, ensuring accuracy and addressing discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll-related tasks such as bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting related to employee status changes.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax with professionalism and clarity.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Assist in year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and reconciliation.
Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle payroll processing experience.
- Proficiency in ADP Work Force Now is required.
- Strong understanding of multi-state payroll regulations and compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with payroll audits and compliance reviews.
- Certification in payroll processing (e.g., CPP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and reporting tools.
