Assistant Project Manager- Commercial Construction

Our client is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of ground-up and interior commercial construction projects across South Florida. This role offers hands-on exposure to office, retail, and restaurant projects while working alongside experienced Project Managers.

Description

• Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day management of commercial construction projects

• Support budgeting, cost tracking, change orders, and contract administration

• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to maintain schedules and quality standards

• Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation

• Attend project meetings and assist with reporting on schedule, cost, and progress

• Help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget

Profile

• 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer

• Proven exposure to office, retail, and/or restaurant construction projects

• Strong understanding of construction documents, scheduling, and cost controls

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Proficient with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar)

• Local South Florida experience is a strong plus
