Industrial Manufacturing - Electrical Engineer- Alvin, SC
As an Electrical Engineer, you will design, program, and troubleshoot PLC and motion control systems, manage internal teams and contractors, and ensure accurate documentation and calibration. Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication are essential to support smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Strong hands-on skills with experience in modern PLC systems such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron, Modicon, and motion control technologies including servo motors.
- Skilled in troubleshooting custom electrical control equipment and resolving technical issues efficiently.
- May oversee the work of technicians or co-op students, providing guidance and support.
- Prepares detailed technical reports and delivers both written and oral presentations.
- Develops innovative electrical control system ideas to improve existing manufacturing processes.
- Performs calibration of equipment and ensures accuracy of instrumentation.
- Capable of training team members on systems, processes, and safety standards.
- Preferred ability to independently design UL508-compliant electrical panels and controls.
- Designs and coordinates the build of power and control systems for manufacturing machinery.
- Clearly documents electrical control designs, programs, and algorithms for ease of maintenance.
- Collects and analyzes data to support process improvements and troubleshooting efforts.
- Applies understanding of process equipment to develop solutions for operational issues.
- Exercises sound judgment and recommends technical alternatives to enhance project outcomes.
- Leads, plans, and coordinates small-scale projects from concept through execution.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
- 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Proficient in motion control systems within factory settings
- Skilled in PLC and HMI programming; experience with Citect strongly preferred
- Competent in AutoCAD Electrical for control panel and system design
- Experienced in managing internal teams and directing electrical contractors
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook for communication and documentation
