Superintendent - Commercial and Multifamily Construction
Take the reins as the onsite lead for large, ground‑up multifamily and commercial builds in the Cleveland area, owning schedule, quality, and safety from day one. Work with a stable, well‑capitalized GC that's expanding and offers a clear path into larger, more complex work (and cross‑sector projects).

Description
- Lead onsite operations for ground‑up multifamily projects from sitework through TCO, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Drive the master schedule and short‑interval planning (look‑ahead schedules); sequence trades, remove roadblocks, and keep work flowing.
- Own field coordination: run daily huddles and weekly subcontractor meetings; enforce spec compliance and installation best practices.
- Manage site logistics: laydown, crane picks, deliveries, site access, temp utilities, stormwater/erosion control, and housekeeping.
- Monitor quality: conduct pre‑install meetings, mock‑ups, and inspections; track QA/QC checklists and punch resolution to zero‑defect turnover.
- Champion safety: lead JHAs, audits, incident response, and subcontractor compliance to corporate and OSHA standards.
- Partner with the PM on change management, RFIs, submittals, and cost impacts; provide accurate daily reports and progress photos.
- Maintain relationships with owners, design teams, and inspectors; represent the builder professionally during site walks and OACs.
- Close out projects: drive commissioning/MEP start‑ups, life‑safety testing, AHJ inspections, and turnover documentation.
Profile
- Experience: Proven experience leading onsite construction for ground‑up commercial, multifamily, or comparable large‑scale vertical builds (e.g., mixed‑use, student housing, hospitality).
- Build types: Structural concrete and/or podium + wood/metal framing, mid‑rise preferred; MEP/FP coordination savvy.
- Technical chops: Reading plans/specs, interpreting shop drawings, sequencing trades, and executing detailed look‑ahead schedules.
- Safety & quality: Proven track record managing site safety programs and quality control from foundations to finishes.
- Leadership: Clear communicator, calm under pressure, decisive, and skilled at holding trades accountable while maintaining strong relationships.
- Tools: Comfortable with construction management software (e.g., Procore or similar), digital plans, daily reporting apps, and scheduling tools.
- Credentials: OSHA 30; First Aid/CPR; additional safety or QC certifications a plus.
Job Offer
